Our students continued their placement year during a pandemic…
- Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, this year our students are excelling and making the most of their experience. Currently, we have placement students working at the Office of National Statistics, HM Treasury, Home Office, HMRC, BT, Amazon, Jaguar, Oxford Economics and others. Read more.

- We opened the Virtual Study Lounge! A virtual meeting where people hold each other accountable for getting work done for a couple hours. Join the next session.

Our award-winning Professional Economist Degree Apprenticeship was showcased during National Apprenticeship Week.
- Currently, in the second year of delivery of this programme, we are really proud of the development that current apprentices have achieved and the level and quality of work they deliver for their employers. Find out more.

- Alessio Mitra presented his research at the first of this year’s PhD virtual ‘Micro-Seminars’ series co-organised by the University of Sussex and the Development Economics Research Centre at the University of Kent. Read more.
- Research conducted by Dr Maria Garcia-Alonso and Dr Zaki Wahhaj revealed that exposure to diversity at a young age decreases segregation later. Find out more.
