If you’ve finished your exams and are looking for something to do this weekend, there’s plenty going on in Medway.

Before the summer holidays start, don’t forget to check your library account for overdue books and fines. Return all the books that you do not need.

*These workshops need to be booked in advance, so email Lynne on either l.martin@gre.ac.uk or medwayinternationals@gmail.com to book your place.

And don’t forget, our new Chill Hall in room DC019 is there for you to use when you need a bit of peace and quiet.

The library is open 24/7 until midnight on Monday 12 June.

All the regular drop-ins that happen in the building continue this week, including the MASH drop-in for maths and stats help, which runs from 13:00-15:00 Monday-Thursday. Open to all Medway students just drop in!

Our Campus Chaplain will be running a couple of sessions in the Chill Hall.

Our colleagues in the Student Learning Advisory Service from the University of Kent are running some workshops on Wednesday to help people preparing for exams. Kent students can book online using SDS. Greenwich and CCCU students should email learningmedway@kent.ac.uk to see if there is space available.

• 1pm: Exam Techniques – Multiple choice, short answers and exercises
• 2pm: Effective Revision

Our lovely librarians are running 2 workshops this week on popular topics:

• On Monday at 1pm, there is a session on searching the literature for dissertation students. If you are writing a literature review or getting ready for your final year research project, this is a useful session for you.  Come along for some great tips on finding journal articles and other information sources for your research project.
• On Tuesday at 1pm, we are running a session on using news sources. Some newspapers are available free online, but did you know that your university provides access to other news sources – including print and broadcast resources. This workshop is most useful for journalism students, but can be handy for anyone who might use news resources in their work.

These workshops are open to anyone – if you want to book, please email DHL-librarians@gre.ac.uk.
