Critical Criminology & Criminal Justice

This blog is administered by the Kent criminology lecturers. Together with you, our students, we form the Kent Criminology Group. Criminology at Kent represents the critical school in Criminology (at Canterbury) and Criminal Justice (at Medway).

Kent Criminology is famous for its’ exceptional multi-disciplinarity. Criminology is housed at the School of Sociology, Social Policy and Social Research (SSPSSR). Accross both campuses, you can take a variety of modules in Sociology, Cultural Studies, Social Policy, Psychology and Social Sciences. You will have more than 50 optional modules to choose from! In this way, studying at Kent allows you to study criminology and criminal justice within the larger political, societal and cultural picture of deviance, crime and control.
