Journals
Journals are a regular publication covering a particular subject or discipline. They are a vital source of information for university study, providing expert opinion and details of contemporary research.
Each journal publishes an “issue” on a regular schedule (eg monthly or three times per year), and each issue will contain a number of articles. Each article will be on a different topic, and they can often cover something very specific indeed.

There are several ways that you might find a journal article, our journals guide shows each of these so you can decide what suits you best.
If you are conducting a literature review for a significant piece of research then you will probably want to use databases and bibliographies to search for multiple journal articles at once.
