The majority of books related to World Literatures are located in D Block, Floor 1.
When searching for titles on LibrarySearch don’t forget to make a note of the location class mark and loan status.
The library has access to thousands of electronic books that you can search for via LibrarySearch using keywords, title or author information. Books can be read online or downloaded, and you will need your Kent credentials to login and read the electronic versions.
Journals & Databases
Use journal articles in your assignments to get the most current research and thinking and read about specific aspects of a topic. The easiest way to find journal articles is to do a keyword search for your topic in LibrarySearch. We also have databases to help you find journal articles and other relevant material for your subject (they may not all be included in LibrarySearch).
A key database you should try for World Literatures is Proquest One Literature. This is a large and inclusive literary collection including primary texts, criticism, reference works and multimedia. Literary works cover the past 1,000 years by authors from over 65 nations, and include the ProQuest Black Writing Collection, and the World Literature Collection, as well as unique content through 150,000 diverse primary texts from authors that are less well known. Search on the keywords for your topic to find relevant academic articles, books, conference papers and dissertations.
