Film and Media Writing Club calls for submissions

Looking for an outlet to voice your opinions, share your creative or academic ideas concerning film and media? Look no further! The Film and Media Writing Club is calling for submissions for their first publication.

A new student-led publication is looking for passionate and keen writers to contribute their creativity towards the first publication, or share your ideas with our editors to develop them towards featuring in later issues.

What are we looking for?

Writers who enjoy creating:

  • Academic-style essays
  • Articles
  • Opinion pieces (including reviews)
  • Creative pieces (including screenplays)

These pieces can be on any area of film and media studies: from what the iconography of horror films can tell us about genre; to the life and work of a particular director; to how social media is changing how we live; and even an extract of an original screenplay! The possibilities are endless – film and media studies are interdisciplinary fields, so take advantage!

If this sounds like your cup of tea, then go ahead and grab that pen, or laptop, and get writing!
