Senior Lecturer in Music and Audio Technology, Dr Aki Pasoulas along with Dr Brona Martin (University of Kent) and Dr Andrew Knight-Hill (University of Greenwich) presented their research paper titled, ‘Soundscapes, Identity and Place: Renegotiating Heritage‘ at the BEAST FEaST 2021 – Recalibration conference on 24 April at the University of Birmingham.
Dr Pasoulas shares, “The paper discussed, in the context of our AHRC-funded research project, A Sonic Palimpsest: Revisiting Chatham Historic Dockyards, how sound can be deployed responsibly to engage diverse audiences, engaging in the social and political contexts which contribute to the making of place.”
