KTV Film run filmmaking skills sessions

KTV Film, which is part of the award-winning student media group Kent Television, would like to welcome University of Kent students from any department to join them for a day of film oriented skill sessions on Sunday 13 October 2019. KTV Film produces a selection of student-made short films each academic year, and was recently celebrated at the National Student Television Association (NaSTA) awards.

The skill sessions are designed to introduce students to KTV, improve knowledge and confidence in different aspects of filmmaking, and to encourage students to sign up for crew roles for KTV films being made this academic year.

The day will run as follows:

10:05-10:45 ‘Directing for Film’: A lecture hosted by Iris Perović, current BA (Hons) Drama and Film student and KTV station co-manager.

11:00-12:00 ‘Animation’: A workshop hosted by Trisha Evans-Lutterodt, current BA (Hons) Film student.

12:05-12:45 ‘Producing for Film’: A lecture hosted by Amelia Mundy, current BA (Hons) Drama and Film student.

13:00-14:00 ‘Editing for Film’: A workshop hosted by Elliot Bowden, current BA (Hons) Drama and Film student.

14:05-14:45 ‘Screenwriting’: A lecture hosted by Pati Zarzycka, current BA (Hons) Film student and KTV station co-manager .

15:00-16:00 ‘Cinematography’: A workshop hosted by Tyler Hamblin, a BA (Hons) Film alumnus.
