The OR Society’s Beale Lecture is to take place at the Royal Society, London on 27 February 2020.
The OR Society’s Beale Medal is awarded in memory of the late Martin Beale and gives formal recognition to a sustained contribution over many years to the theory, practice or philosophy of OR in the UK, or to some combination of those areas.
The main speaker for this forthcoming lecture is their 2018 Beale Medal award winner, Professor Russell Cheng, Emeritus Professor within Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton.
The OR Society’s 2017 Doctoral (PhD) Award Winner will also be present, (Yvonne) Jeeu-Fong Sze, Assistant Professor of International Business School (IBS) at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), China. Yvonne’s shorter talk will precede that of Professor Cheng. Said Salhi, Professor of Management Science and Operational Research at Kent Business School will also be in attendance. Yvonne did her PhD at Kent Business School under Professor Said Salhi and Dr Niaz Wassan.
