Housing, Finance, Advice & Care Leavers – The Kent Criminology Group (KCG)

Students who are care leavers can find information on available support HERE.
Rachel Levy as a designated member of staff who supports Care Leavers during their time at the University. Please email her at dmstaff@kent.ac.uk.

Students can get free, impartial advice on a wide range of topics from the Kent Union Advice Centre.
- The advice service covers topics such as
  - immigration,
  - finances,
  - student loans,
  - housing,
  - employment,
  - and others.
- Term time drop-ins are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 10.00 – 12.30 and 13.30 and 16.00.

There is an online budgeting calculator.
There is also information on emergency funding which may be useful to students in financial crisis.
Students will need to contact the finance team for fee payment queries.

Student can contact the Accommodation Team if they are having issues with on campus accommodation.
Students can get support for Household Dispute from the Colleges and Community Life team.
The KU Advice Centre can offer advice on housing and accommodation issues.
If students require advice about living on campus or out in the community they can contact the Colleges and Community life team who will be able to help.
