Honorary Professor at the Centre for Professional Practice, Professor of Primary Dental Care Mike Mulcahy calls for nationally agreed guidelines appropriate to the NHS and create an advice sheet customised to local needs to provide Primary Dental Care Practitioners, prescribers of bisphosphonate therapy and those to whom patients are sent for specialist advice or care, providing clear advice on the management of these complex cases, including the role or otherwise of antibiotic prescribing.
