WCSA Young Scholars and Activists Fellowship / Travel Grants
The WCSA provides funds for conference participants in need, assisting with the travel expenses of attending our annual conference. Funds are also used for our Young Scholars and Activists Fellowship (YSAF) programme, supporting conference attendance and participation of scholars, activists, and organizers early in their careers whose work has the potential for advancing Working-Class Studies as a field.

The Student Success Project Sponsorships
This year we are pleased to have worked in partnership with the University of Kent’s Student Success Project to fund the registration and expenses of 7 Kent undergraduate students to attend the conference. These awards have now been granted and we look forward to welcoming a new generation of scholars to the conference!

The aim of the Student Success Project is to provide opportunities from those from ‘non-traditional’ backgrounds entering academia to make the most of university. It has helped low income, first generation, BAME, and those from varied educational backgrounds to be more involved in academic life from the start.
