Thames Sailing Barge Trip
Tuesday 3rd September 11:30-15:30: £40

Thames Sailing Barges are the craft that built and fed London and the East of England from the 18th – early 20th centuries. With some over 80 feet long, and with their iconic array of red sails, these vessels carried goods and industrial materials into and out of the winding waterways that fed the Thames Estuary. Today, only around 30 restored barges survive. Experience part of the industrial heritage of the region, join the crew and help to sail the Thames Sailing Barge Repertor on a trip out from the Kent coast.
