Its top 20 are: American Studies 11th; Anthropology 13th; Art 17th; Biosciences 20th;Classics & ancient history 14th; Design & crafts 18th; Forensic science & archaeology19th; History 15th; Law 17th; Modern language & linguistics 15th; Pharmacy (Medway School of Pharmacy) 18th; Philosophy 17th; Social work 18th; Sociology 19th; andSports science 14th.
This latest good news for the University follows Kent’s success in the REF 2014, where it was ranked 17th in the UK for research intensity and achieved the third largest increase of the top 50 research intensive universities for research power. It also achieved one of the largest increases in research funding following its REF success.
In the most recent National Students Survey (2014), Kent was ranked third for overall satisfaction.
