Students have been challenged to share their Year in Industry experience in images. A photo competition has been launched and is open to all School of Computing students currently on a Year in Industry placement.
Placement Officer Katie van Sanden said; ‘We are not looking for a particular type of image but for photographs that represent what your Year in Industry experience is like. Everyone’s experience is unique and we would like to see the everyday reality as well as the high points of your year. It could be your workplace, your commute or your colleagues. Maybe it’s an amazing experience that has happened because of where you live, work or the people you have met this year.’
As well as the satisfaction of sharing their experiences, there are also prizes on offer for the students.
There are two categories:
- Best individual image
- Best student portfolio
Photos will be judged by a panel of School of Computing staff and the winners will receive £50 of Amazon vouchers and a bottle of bubbly.
The closing date for entries is Friday 25 April and the winners will be announced on 1 May 2014.
More information can be found on the photo competition webpage.
