The Higher Education Technicians Summit (HETS23) took place yesterday and saw 500 technicians across the UK attend. This year the event took place at The Oculus, University of Warwick.
The event was enjoyed by all those who attended. Offering a ‘Technical Talent Poster Showcase’ with 50 posters submitted from institutions across the UK, an art exhibition of technicians at work by Joanna Scamp from Kent, the choice of attending 3 of 10 workshops being offered during the day, an informative and enjoyable keynote speech from Professor Sir Jonathan Van-Tam on the topic of Science and Leadership during the SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic and the presentations of the Papin Prizes.
