Kent Technician Network Symposium

Christ Church University (CCCU)

The Technician Symposium events were established in 2017 to bring together technical staff from across the higher education institutions in Kent to network, create a collaborative knowledge exchange and recognise the vital role technical staff play in the higher education sector. The last symposium was held in 2019 where it was then put on hold due to the pandemic. We are thrilled that we have now been able to restart these annual symposiums, with the first in-person symposium being held yesterday.

A number of Kent IT & Technical Services staff were in attendance at the symposium yesterday. It was a wonderfully thought-out day filled with specially tailored workshops, tours, trade fair, presentations (including a presentation from Lucy Williams from MI TALENT) and networking for the technical staff at Canterbury Christ Church University, University of Greenwich and University of Kent. Pam Lithgow (Faculty Director of Planning and Resources and University Director of Technical Services) from Canterbury Christ Church University, gave a special thanks at the symposium to IT & Technical Services staff for their work and dedication during the pandemic. Thank you to CCCU for hosting the event. Special thanks goes to Pam Lithgow, Dave Belsom and their team for organising the event.
