Technician Symposium – University of Kent, 22nd May 2019

The University of Kent in association with the University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University is pleased to announce it will be hosting the annual Kent Technician Network Technicians Symposium on 22nd May 2019 at the Sibson building, Canterbury Campus.

The Technician Symposium events were established 3 years ago as a way of bringing together technical staff from across the higher education institutions in Kent and providing a platform to network, learn and recognise the vital work undertaken by technicians in those institutions and beyond.
The Symposium this year will take place on  22nd May in the Sibson building at the Canterbury Campus. The event is a day of networking opportunities, group activities and presentations from invited speakers. Regardless of technical specialism the event has something for everyone. With topical presentations on public engagement for technical staff, understanding mental health and the impact of imposter syndrome. A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided for attendees throughout the day with opportunities to meet new people and discuss topics affecting technical staff throughout higher education.

All technical staff from across the institution, no matter what School or Department or specialism are invited to attend and should register their place here: –
