On Wednesday 18 November, we’re transforming the Templeman Library Atrium into an interactive AI discovery zone with a chance to get hands-on, ask questions, discover more and explore the possibilities of AI for yourself.
Get hands-on with AI
Whether you’re an AI enthusiast, a complete beginner or a bit of a sceptic, there’s a place for you at this event!
At Kent, we’re not just interested in what AI can do, but how we use it and why. We believe in putting people first, thinking critically and making responsible choices. We’re giving students and staff the opportunity to explore AI’s potential, develop their skills and decide if and how it fits into their own learning, work and future.
There’ll be plenty to explore throughout the day, including:
- Virtual reality experiences – step into immersive digital worlds and see what’s possible.
- AI challenges – experiment with prompts, challenge AI’s answers and discover how to use the technology critically and confidently.
- Lightning talks and live demonstrations – discover new ideas, practical applications and some of the opportunities (and challenges!) AI brings.
Discover ChatGPT Edu
Did you know that, as a Kent student, you can access ChatGPT Edu at no additional cost? Together with our partners at OpenAi, we’ll be exploring what makes ChatGPT Edu different, sharing practical demonstrations and helping students discover how to get started.
And if you’re not sure whether AI is for you? That’s absolutely fine too. Come along, explore, ask questions and decide for yourself.
