We’re making improvements at the Templeman Library next month to provide our users with the best spaces to study and discover library resources.
D Block, Floor 1, will have some of its study areas closed from 1 May 2026 for the rest of the summer term.
This is part of a wider, phased approach to updating and improving D Block, Floor 1. We will be refreshing the area before adding new study and display furniture, inspired by the user feedback we gathered from you last month.
During this time, there will be no access to the South side of D|1 to use for studying.
There is a small collection of larger sized books in this area, which will be permanently relocated to the north side of D|1.

Where else can you study?
If you’re looking for alternative quiet spaces to work on your own or in a group then C|1 and D|2 are available close by.
You can also browse all available study spaces across the Library and campus on our Study Spaces webpage.
