We’re making important improvements to ensure the Templeman Library is a safe place to study.
A Block closure from 15 December 2025, expected to open end of January 2026.
We need to replace the fire alarm and smoke detectors in Block A of the Templeman Library. To carry out this work, Floor 2 (A|2) and Floor 3 (A|3) including the Silent Study area, will be closed.
- No access: A|2 and A|3 will be closed off while the work is carried out.
- Noise and disruption: The work could be noisy, and the sound may carry down into A|1 during these times.
Where Else Can You Study?
If you’re looking for alternative silent space:
- D|3 (Silent Study): A dedicated silent study area with individual desks, perfect for focused work.
You can also browse all available study spaces across the Library and campus on our Study Spaces webpage.
Need to borrow items from this space?
If you need to borrow any items located in A|2 or A|3, please visit the main reception desk in the Welcome Hall to ask for assistance.
