And now for something really different… Here’s a Letter to the Editor published in the February issue of Physics World. It proposes a slightly different approach to Airborne Wind Energy (AWE) – the use of kites to generate electricity. This is definitely outside my area of expertise – rather, it was written from the perspective of a hobbyist, who happens to also be a physicist, in response to Margaret Harris‘ recent article on AWE.
