Student Competition Summer 2020

Physical Lockdown Digital Freedom

The Lockdown Experience of 2020 has been one of incredible challenges, hardships and difficulties.

In order to cope with Lockdown many of us have relied on digital technology on an unprecedented level. From Amazon.com to Zoom, Digital Culture has been prominent in our lives more than ever before.

We inĀ Digital Culture at Kent want to hear, share and celebrate those positive stories of how technologies have helped during Lockdown.

We would like you to submit by 1 September one such ‘story’ to our Summer Competition which is open to all degree students at the University of Kent.

Competition ‘Stories’ can take the form of the following:

  • An Insta-story
  • A Blog or Vlog
  • A YouTube video
  • A Facebook Story
  • An Infographic

Please send your pieces (or accessible links) to digitalculture@kent.ac.uk or post on Twitter @DigiCultureKent. Closing date 23.59 on 1 September 2020. Winners will be chosen, with prizes including an Apple Watch and two Beats Headphones.

Good luck!

Digital Culture is a project led by Anna Jordanous (Computing), Vince Miller (SSPSSR) and John Wills (History).
