Social historian explains events in a family’s past

Dr Kate Bradley, Senior Lecturer in Social History and Social Policy, contributed to the BBC 1 programme ‘Who do you think you are?’ this week. The episode traced the family history of businesswomen and media personality Sharon Osbourne.

Dr Bradley was able to explain what happened to Osbourne’s grandparents after the First World War, and how her mother and grandmother found themselves in front of the Lambeth Police Court in 1929…
