This video is the result of a research project exploring support for people with learning disabilities to find loving relationships. The research has been carried out by Dr Michelle McCarthy and her team at the Tizard Centre, University of Kent in 2019. The research was funded by the NIHR School for Social Care Research.
The video “Making connections, building confidence” is the second produced by the Love Project and looks at the work of specialist dating and friendship agencies for people with learning disabilities and the important role they have in helping people live full lives.
