Professor Julia Twigg was invited speaker at an evening event held at the Wellcome Collection in London. The event was led by the Edinburgh GP and author, Dr Gavin Francis, who has recently published Shapeshifters, a book reflecting on bodily shifts and changes across the life course.
Julia spoke about the ways in which ageing is both a physiological and a cultural phenomenon, using the example of her work on dress to explore the interactions of the two.
