The Conversation has just published an article by Peter Taylor-Gooby, Professor of Social Policy, University of Kent and Bejamin Leruth, Assistant Professor in Politics and Public Administration, University of Canberra on the lack of trust in politicians and the widening gap between politicians and citizens.

The article links to findings from their research into the aspirations, assumptions and priorities that govern the ideas of ordinary people about the future development of welfare in Europe and includes the authors’ suggestions of how to address the current mistrust of government.
