The NORFACE WelfSOC project team led by Peter Taylor-Gooby, Research Professor of Social Policy, travelled to Gothenburg on 22 February to take part in a workshop on Welfare State Attitudes.
The team had a productive couple of days during which Peter presented the state of the project and made the case for the use of democratic forums as an innovative research tool in social policy research. A total of six WelfSOC working papers were presented and discussed at the workshop.
The WelfSOC project examines the aspirations, assumptions and priorities of ordinary people about the future development of welfare in Europe. The project team is composed of thirteen researchers from five institutions in five different countries.
