Dr Steven Roberts, Senior Lecturer in Social Policy and Sociology, along with Professor Ann Berrington from the University of Southampton, will be presenting some key findings from an ESRC project on Young Adults Transitions in London on 5 December. The event, Young adults: Living and Learning in Recessional Times, explores how people’s aspirations and realities for living and learning in the UK are responding to societal changes, not least increased economic insecurity, housing and welfare changes. The importance of gender and ethnicity in these relationships will also be discussed.
