Dr Heejung Chung discusses work-life balance

National work life week, 22-26 September

On Wednesday, Heejung Chung appeared on Julia George’s BBC Radio Kent show to talk about work-life balance, work-family conflict, and how flexible working can mean work extends into all aspects of life.

National Work-Life Week aims to highlight the importance of achieving a balance and to encourage enlightened working practices within organisations by putting the subject centre stage.

Also to mark this week, Heejung  contributed an article entitled ‘Does work leave you tired, stressed with no time for family? You’re not alone’ to ‘The Conversation’, a collaboration between editors and academics to provide informed news analysis and commentary.

Dr Chung was awarded ESRC Future Leaders Award for the project “Working time flexibility and work-life balance across Europe and the role of contexts: connecting the individual, company and the country-level”. For more about the project see www.wafproject.org
