Centre for Child Protection launches standalone module

'New Perspectives on Assessment' aimed at professionals

We are delighted to announce our ‘New Perspectives on Assessment’ module. Running from January 2014 for 10 weeks, the module is designed for child protection professionals looking to improve their practice and develop their skills whilst working.

All the study is completed online with access to online forums, journal articles and specialist materials. Additionally, we have arranged for access to a range of films presented by Professor David Shemmings.

The module has been launched to help professionals broaden their understanding and improve their skills in the area of assessment. By undertaking this detailed and specialist module, we hope to provoke thought and discussion amongst students and to improve personal performance and professional practice. The benefit of studying whilst working is that you can apply your knowledge to real situations.

Successful completion of an assignment marks the end of the module which is equivalent to 20 credits at Masters level. This is also great way to see if you want to continue to Master’s level study with us.

The module costs £850 and starts on 13 January 2014, contact ccp@kent.ac.uk for further details or to register your interest.
