Social Work contract awarded to Medway team

Following a successful competitive bid, the social work team has been awarded a contract to deliver training to managers in Kent and Medway relating to one of the key social work reforms.

The training is for those responsible for ensuring that newly qualified staff are assessed robustly and in line with the reforms. The post qualifying ‘Assessed and Supported Year in Employment’ is a core element of the national drive to improve the quality of social work practice and enhance staff retention.

This is clear recognition of the quality of the team and of the contribution they can make to the sector.
