Bihari Payagala

The School is deeply saddened by the news that one of our second year students, Bihari Payagala, was killed in a road traffic accident on St Stephen’s Hill, Canterbury, on Thursday 23 February. Her family have, of course, been informed and our thoughts are with them at this most difficult of times. We will let students know in due course of ways we might find as a School to remember Bihari, and we will be guided most of all by her family in this. In the mean time the University Counselling Service and multi-faith Chaplaincy are open and available to all students and staff, should they wish to use them. Please note Kent Police is appealing for witnesses to the accident. The University is encouraging witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch with PC Dave Adams on the Serious Collision Investigation Unit Appeal Line on 01622 798538.
