Kent wins prestigious national award for excellence in teaching Criminology

British Society of Criminology

The criminology team at the University of Kent are delighted to have been awarded the National Award for Excellence in Teaching Criminology 2011, by the British Society of Criminology. Members of the criminology team teach across the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and deliver modules that stand at the very cutting edge of the discipline, based as they are on the team’s outstanding research profile.  We strive to engage our students with their world as critical, criminological observers and to get our students excited and inspired about criminology in a ‘real world’ way.  We are proud that our approach to teaching criminology has been recognised with such a prestigious award.
