In recent years, PhD students who have made excellent progress in their research and are working on an article from their thesis have the opportunity to apply to our School for Advanced Student Bursaries that enable them to attend the Prato Writing Workshop. Meeting up with their contemporaries from other top universities in the UK and Australia, this provides students with the opportunity of receiving expert advice on publication and careers, and a focused period of working on an article in an environment dedicated to writing. It acts as a complement to and an extension of what SSPSSR provides all of its students.
