SSPSSR is part of the South East Doctoral Training Consortium, one of only 21 centres to to have been awarded ESRC Accreditation and funding for PhD Studentship Awards. Commenting on the award, Professor Chris Hale (Head of School) said ‘This success reflects our standing as one of the major centres for social science in the UK and beyond, and is a testament to the quality of colleagues who were involved in the bid. It will enable us to continue to enhance the quality of our postgraduate culture, as we look forward providing world class education to a new generation of students joining our academic community in the coming years.
