Teach First STEM Internship – deadline 15 December
Teach First are offering a one week STEM Internship to try out teaching.
The internship is open to penultimate year students who are studying STEM degrees, or have relevant A-Levels at grade B or higher. On the internship students will:
– Get paid £300
– Visit a partner school teaching 2 short sessions
– Develop professional skills through different mediums
– Boost their CV with practical skills like presenting and problem solving
– Get the chance to fast-track onto our graduate scheme, voted top ten in The Times Top 100.
Amazon Partnership
Teach First recently launched a partnership with Amazon to recruit 50 new computer science teachers to support the recruitment and training of 50 secondary school computer science teachers and over 200 Teach First ‘Careers Leaders’, a programme run by the charity that helps leaders in schools develop a long-term school-wide careers strategy.
The computer science teachers will be placed in schools serving low-income communities from next year and will have the opportunity to embark on paid work experience at Amazon. Careers Leaders and computer science students will also have the chance to visit Amazon on work insight days.
