2017 ASET Student Competition

2017 ASET student competition

Calling all students who have recently completed a placement Celebrate by sharing your experiences in an inspirational way for a chance to win £400

Is your placement the “best thing you’ve done so far”? Did you learn about yourself, your strengths, a new industry, how to run projects, work with colleagues or what you want – or definitely don’t want – to do? ASET is delighted to announce this year’s competition is now open for entries.

To encourage the next cohort of placement students, ASET sponsors this annual competition which highlights what students have gained from their recent placement or internship – in no more than 900 words. We are looking for short accounts which inform others about the value of work experience, clearly express the value of the learning, and do so in a lively and enthusiastic manner. The competition allows students to reflect on the impact their placement experience has had on their personal development and future plans, and to reflect on how it relates to their academic studies.

There are two categories for entry, each with a prize of £400 for the winner and £100 for highly commended:
Placement/Internship/Work experience undertaken in the UK or Ireland
Placement/Internship/Work experience undertaken overseas

Can you enter?
Check out the full entry details here.
Entries will only be accepted from students registered at an institution which is a current member of ASET.
All entries must be submitted via email to the ASET Office using the 2017 ASET Student Competition entry form

The deadline for entries reaching the ASET Office is Friday 1st December 12noon.
