Dr Antonio Lázaro-Reboll, Reader in Hispanic Studies and Deputy Head of School and newly-appointed Deputy Director (Planning) for the Division of Arts and Humanities, participated in the virtual launch of the book El legado cinematográfico de Bigas Luna, edited by Santiago Fouz Hernández (Madrid: Tirant lo Blanch, 2020) on YouTube live (CanalTirant).
In his intervention, Antonio discusses his contribution to the volume, a chapter on Bigas Luna’s film Caniche (1979), where he talks about the director’s eclectic style influenced by Buñuel, Dalí or Goya, as well as the relationship between the film and Catalan literature.
