Dr Lubomira Radoilska, Deputy Head of School and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, has appeared in a Melbourne Radio Series podcast titled ‘Radical Philosophy’ to discuss her research on weakness and addiction.

Lubomira discusses how society as a whole views addiction, and how this affects the way those with addictions are treated and also the part rational judgement plays in addiction. “How can weakness of will be intelligible, and yet be fundamentally irrational?” Lubomira asks in her interview, “I was encouraged to investigate the possible connection between weakness of will and addiction as two instances of connective agencies that might be on the same spectrum rather than separate phenomena.”
