In the latest episode of the Nostalgia podcast series, Chris Deacy, Head of the Department of Religious Studies, interviews Dr. Trystan Hughes, a Church in Wales vicar and former head of a Department of Theology & Religious Studies.

In this episode, the pair talk about growing up in North Wales, the advantages of a multi-lingual education, collecting football stickers as a child, why the music we like is bound up with questions of identity, doing a PhD on the Roman Catholic Church in Wales. Trystan also talks about why he left Higher Education, his legacy, the importance of awareness and the role of textbooks, why it is important to use nostalgia to inspire the present, why education, and learning about climate change, is so important, why the journey is as important as the destination, living and dealing with pain, knowing one’s limitations, maintaining friendships and why Trystan is such a hopeful person.
