Jeremy Scott visits the University of Oslo

In October, Jeremy Scott, Senior Lecturer in the Department of English Language and Linguistics, represented the School of European Culture and Languages on a visit to the University of Oslo as part of a delegation including Professor Jeremy Carrette (Dean for Europe), Hannah McNorton (Director of International Partnerships) and Dr Richard Guest (School of Digital Engineering and Digital Arts).

There were many interesting and useful meetings and discussions including the setting up of a staff and student mobility exchange agreement, an exploration of potential collaborations and the fostering of research links in biometric technologies, literary linguistics and cognitive literary studies.

Jeremy said of the event: “This is a very exciting new partnership for both the University of Kent as a whole and for our School, and we look forward to a dynamic and fruitful relationship with one of the strongest HE institutions in the Nordic region”.
