Undergraduate Survey Month 2019: what you need to know

Undergraduate survey month poster

The 2019 National Student Survey opened this week, as part of Undergraduate Survey Month. The survey takes no longer than about 10 minutes to complete, and eligible students can enter at www.thestudentsurvey.com. Not all students are eligible for the the NSS, but everyone can make their voice heard thanks to the University’s Undergraduate Survey.

Your thoughts and suggestions help us to improve your own student experience and will also help students who study at Kent in the future.

Here’s what you need to know:

National Student Survey (NSS)

This is a national survey open to mainly final year students. Not everyone is eligible, so keep an eye on your emails – eligible students will have received an email from Programme Co-ordinators – for the link to the survey. Please complete the survey honestly and thoroughly. As a thank you for taking the time to complete the survey, the University is offering an incentive of a £10 Amazon voucher to all students who complete the survey within the first three weeks.

You can find out more about the NSS – and what the University has already done in response to student feedback received in previous years – at www.kent.ac.uk/student/surveys/. The information submitted will be anonymous and will help us understand your experience and help inform change.

If you are eligible to fill in the NSS, and complete it before Monday 18 February, make sure you claim your free £10 Amazon voucher by providing proof of completion to nssawards@kent.ac.uk.

Please don’t miss out on the chance to make your voice heard, and on your guaranteed Amazon voucher!

Undergraduate Survey (UGS)

We understand that the NSS is not available for all undergraduates. Because it’s important that everyone has a chance to be heard, the University is also running an Undergraduate Survey.

If you’re eligible, you will receive an email from Professor April McMahon, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Education, during the week beginning 28 January 2019.

If you would like to find out more about the survey, please visit www.kent.ac.uk/survey.
