The University of Kent will host a Q&A with award-winning director Ken Loach on 12 April 2018. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

Ken Loach, who has directed films including Kes, I, Daniel Blake and The Wind That Shakes the Barley and numerous TV dramas, including Cathy Come Home, will also be joined by Tony Garnett, a renowned producer who has worked with Loach on many of his projects.

The event begins at 14.15pm with a free screening of Loach and Garnett’s acclaimed drama The Big Flame, which covers the Liverpool dock ‘work-in’ of 1969. This will be followed by a short talk by Ken Loach and Tony Garnett, and a Q&A with the audience starting at 16.15pm.

While the event is free to attend, spaces are limited. Therefore, those interested in attending are asked to register in advance to secure a spot.
