Dr David Walsh, Lecturer in the Department of Classical & Archaeological Studies, was interviewed for BBC’s South East Today yesterday evening, 29 November 2017, to discuss the Roman archaeology finds at Pegwell Bay in Kent, that could be the landing point of Julius Caesar’s army in 54BCE.

‘I’m very impressed, I think it’s great – to find a site that actually links the history with the archaeology so strongly is a rarity,’ explains David in the programme. ‘As a Romanist myself, it’s a tremendous find.’
