Open event: ‘Discover the Ancient World’

Dr Rosie Wyles, Lecturer in Classical History and Literature in the Department of Classical & Archaeological Studies, has organised an open afternoon ‘Discover the Ancient World’ to be held on Saturday 30 September 2017.

The event is designed for teachers and students to learn more about Ancient Greece and Rome, and will feature writer and journalist Natalie Haynes, as well as contributions for Dr Christopher Burden-Strevens, Lecturer in Ancient History, and presentations from students. The event is part of the Advocating Classics Education project, an AHRC-funded initiate to promote the teaching of classical subjects in secondary schools.
