Dr Anna Strhan, Lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies, will participating in a panel discussion entitled ‘Shared Ground: Religion and Morality’ at London’s Southbank Centre this weekend on Saturday 23 September 2017.

For millions around the world, religion provides a moral code to live their lives by. The panel will ask what are the teachings that help most in dark times? And what can different religions agree are moral absolutes? Equally, are there moral dividing lines that prevent certain religions from seeing eye-to-eye?

Anna will appear alongside Dr Rachel Muers from the University of Leeds and Bana Gora from the Muslim Women’s Council.

The panel is part of the Belief and Beyond Belief festival, which explores the music, art, culture, science, philosophy, ritual and traditions that have risen out of religion in its many guises.

The event begins at 2.30pm, and forms part of a full-day of events, ‘How To Be Good: Gurus, Gods and Guidance’, which costs £15 for a day pass.
