Dr Lauren Ware, Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy, has just won an Institution Grant from the Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies (SPHS).

The SPHS was founded in 1879 to advance the study of Greek language, literature, history, art and archaeology in the Ancient, Byzantine and Modern periods. It supports those engaged in Hellenic Studies and to this end it makes grants to schools, universities, cultural institutions and young researchers.

The grant will support the participation of students and early career researchers at the fourth annual conference of the European Philosophical Society for the Study of Emotions to be held 17-19 September 2017 at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain.
