Further to PhD student Simon Elliott’s publication of his first book, Sea Eagles of Empire (The History Press, 2016), history on the Roman Navy in Britain annoucened last week, the Guildhall Library in London will be holding a book launch for the book this Thursday, 22 September 2016.
Simon is currently completing a PhD in Classical & Archaeological Studies, and his research on ‘Late Roman Kent’, supervised by Dr Steve Willis, inform his interest in the Roman Navy.
