Dr Christina Kim, from the Department of English Language & Linguistics, will be speaking at the University of Edinburgh tomorrow, 12 November 2015, as part of its Linguistic Circle events series.

The title of Christina’s talk is ‘Presuppositions, Locality and Discourse Structure’. She will report on locality preferences in discourse, that is, the tendency for associations between words in a discourse to span short distances, and ask what such tendencies reveal about the underlying structure of discourse.

The talk will be held at the Dugald Stewart Building at the School of Philosophy, Psychology and Languages Sciences at Edinburgh, at 4.10pm.
